Garage Door Repair
The most common causes are a broken spring, a snapped cable, misaligned safety sensors or an opener that has lost power or its settings. If you heard a loud bang, it is almost always a spring. Call us and describe what the door is doing.
It depends on the part. Sensor alignment or an adjustment costs far less than a pair of torsion springs or a new opener. We give you the exact price on site before any work starts, and the estimate is free.
Usually, yes. Calls that come in early in the day are often fixed the same day, and our trucks carry the common springs, cables, rollers and opener parts.
Look above the closed door. A broken torsion spring shows a visible gap a few inches wide. Other signs are a loud bang, a door that suddenly feels very heavy and an opener that hums but cannot lift the door.
It is not safe. The door can weigh 150 to 300 pounds and the opener is not built to lift it alone. Call us and we will get the car out safely.
Usually under an hour and a half, including balancing and testing.
No. It will lift unevenly and can jam or fall. Keep it closed and call for repair.
Cables wear together. A new cable on one side and an old one on the other makes the door lift unevenly.
Often, yes. A broken spring can whip a cable off its drum. We check the springs on every cable repair.
We do not recommend it. The door is under spring tension and can shift suddenly. Unplug the opener and call.
Usually not. Most off-track doors need rollers, a section of track or a cable, not a new door.
Upgrade to sealed nylon rollers, keep the tracks clear and have the opener force checked. We do all three.
Openers & Emergencies
Usually the safety sensors near the floor are blocked, dirty or out of alignment. It can also be a close-force setting or a door that is binding. We check both.
LiftMaster and Chamberlain most often, plus Genie and Linear. We can match what you have so existing remotes keep working.
Many recent openers have Wi-Fi built in. For older ones we can add a compatible smart hub, or install a new Wi-Fi model.
Our crews run 24 hours Sunday through Thursday and until 2 PM on Friday. Emergency calls go to the front of the line.
Unplug the opener, keep people clear and call. We will close and secure the door the same visit whenever possible.
We tell you the price on the phone or on arrival, before any work starts.
New & Commercial Doors
Most single and double doors are installed in one day, once the door has arrived.
Yes for most Valley homes. It keeps the garage cooler in summer, makes the door quieter and stiffer, and helps if the garage is a gym or workshop.
Not always. If your opener is in good shape, we tune it to the new door. If it is old or lacks battery backup, we will tell you.
Yes. We repair rolling steel and roll-up doors, springs, curtains, guides and their operators.
Yes. We work on parking garage doors, driveway gates and the access control that opens them.
Yes. Ask about scheduled visits for high-use doors, sized to how often your doors run.
Gates & Gate Openers
Common causes are a tripped breaker, a dead battery backup, a blocked or misaligned safety sensor, a failed control board or a gate that is binding mechanically. We diagnose it on the first visit.
We work on LiftMaster, Elite, Viking, DoorKing, FAAC, BFT, Nice/Apollo, Ghost Controls, Mighty Mule, US Automatic and more.
Both. We re-hang sagging gates, replace hinges and wheels, straighten track and do on-site welding.
With regular maintenance, 10 to 15 years is common. Heavy commercial use or an unbalanced gate shortens that.
Usually, yes. We check that the gate swings or rolls freely, fix any binding, then size and install the operator.
Yes. With good sun and a correctly sized panel and battery, solar openers work well for most residential gates.
Sliding gates suit short or sloped driveways and tight spaces. Swing gates need room to open inward but have a classic look. We help you choose on site.
Fabrication typically takes a few weeks depending on design and finish. Installation is usually one to two days.
Yes. In Los Angeles we can build the gate and matching fence together.
Intercoms & Access Control
Yes. We can add Wi-Fi or cellular access to most gate operators so you can open the gate and get alerts from an app.
Yes. We install and repair telephone-entry and keypad systems for apartment, condo and commercial gates.
In most cases, yes. We check the operator and wiring, then integrate the new system.
Fences
Aluminum, vinyl and composite need the least care. Wrought iron lasts decades with a good powder coat. Wood looks great but needs sealing.
Yes. Aluminum and iron pool fences with self-closing, self-latching gates.
No. Our Walnut Creek and San Jose crews handle garage doors and gates only. Fences are installed in Los Angeles and the Valley.
